Azerbaijani, Chinese central bank chairs discuss monetary policy issues in Beijing meeting

Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Taleh Kazimov met with Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China, to discuss the issues of monetary policy and financial stability.

The discussions, which took place during Kazimov's working visit to Beijing, particularly focused on payment systems, QR-based and mobile payment solutions, and regulatory frameworks governing payment service providers, Caliber.Az reports via the CBA.

The two sides also exchanged information on regulatory practices in the field of digital currencies.

The meeting further included an exchange of views on expanding cooperation between the central banks of Azerbaijan and China, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
