Azerbaijani, Chinese top banking officials discuss deepening cooperation in Washington
As part of his participation in the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with Pan Gongsheng, Chairman of the People’s Bank of China.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations and emphasised confidence that the Memorandum of Understanding signed last month will further deepen cooperation between the institutions, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
“The chairmen highlighted the importance of expanding partnership between the central banks and the financial sectors of both countries, sharing experience and information in fintech, innovation, and payment systems, as well as initiatives that will promote deeper joint cooperation,” the statement said.
