As Caliber.Az reports, the Azerbaijani delegation held a number of bilateral meetings, along with participating in plenary sessions. The meeting with the host country Egypt's minister of environment is noteworthy.
A meeting was also held with UNDP Resident Representative to Egypt Alessandro Fracassetti.
Fracassetti is known for his work in the field of implementation, including environmental projects and initiatives in Azerbaijan.
The issues of possible cooperation in the field of mitigation of the impact on the climate system, as well as the issues of adaptation to the consequences of climate change were discussed at a meeting with the leadership of the Green Climate Fund.
The Azerbaijani side once again declared its commitment to regional cooperation and the creation of a regional platform for solving environmental problems.
A meeting was also held with the leadership of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), at which they discussed the possibilities of holding a regional forum on climate change together with the leading authors-scientists of this scientific body of the convention in Azerbaijan in 2023.
