Kyrgyz president praises Azerbaijani leader's role in S. Caucasus peace process

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov praised Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his role in advancing the peace process in the South Caucasus during his address at the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

“Kyrgyzstan welcomes the signing of the declaration between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington,” Japarov said, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

He noted that this step is "a manifestation of political will and an important contribution to strengthening regional security. 

"I would like to particularly note the role of President Ilham Aliyev in promoting the peace process,” he added.
