Turkish FM hails progress toward peace in South Caucasus
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said significant strides have been made toward achieving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, during a high-level diplomatic meeting in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), Fidan emphasied the importance of transforming the Turkic world into a key player in shaping regional balance, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He also noted that the OTS's strength lies in the ever-deepening mutual trust and cooperation between its member countries.
The Council of Foreign Ministers convened in Gabala on October 7 ahead of the 12th Summit of the Heads of State of the OTS. This year’s summit will be held under the theme “Regional Peace and Security."
