Azerbaijani, Kazakh top diplomats push for deeper multi-sector ties PHOTO
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev have discussed prospects for cooperation across multiple sectors.
The meeting was held on October 6 in Gabala, on the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Turkic States. Minister Bayramov congratulated his Kazakh counterpart on his recent appointment and wished him every success in his new role, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The ministers expressed satisfaction with the high level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, noting that regular high-level contacts play an exceptional role in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Discussions focused on various aspects of the strategic partnership between the two nations and the current situation in the region. The sides also reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation in political, economic, trade, transport, communication, and humanitarian fields.
Both parties underlined the importance of enhancing collaboration within regional and international organisations, particularly the Organisation of Turkic States and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Minister Bayramov highlighted that the historic agreements reached during the Washington meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia are of great importance for ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
