Azerbaijani delegation to take part in World Economic Forum in Davos
Azerbaijani delegation will take part in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and several representatives of the Azerbaijani state agencies and companies plan to take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Trend reports citing a source in the Economy Ministry.
“Jabbarov will visit Davos to take part in the WEF. The programme of his visit and meetings is being clarified. The delegation will also consist of representatives of several state and private companies of Azerbaijan,” the source said.
According to the WEF agenda, Jabbarov is a participant in the COP28 and the Road Ahead discussion scheduled for January 16.
Executive Director of International Energy Agency (IEA) Fatih Birol, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, Engie CEO Catherine MacGregor and US journalist from The Washington Post Sally Buzbee will also take part in the discussion.
“The participation of the Azerbaijani representative in such a discussion is logical, as COP29 will be held in Baku,” the source emphasised.
The World Economic Forum in Davos started on January 14 and will run until January 19.
