Azerbaijani economy minister joins key discussion on Alat Free Economic Zone projects

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has participated in the second meeting of the Working Group on the Alat Free Economic Zone to discuss ongoing projects within the Zone.

“Together with colleagues, we participated in the second session of the Working Group on the Alat Free Economic Zone. The discussions focused on the ongoing projects within the Zone, the establishment of sustainable infrastructure and utility services to ensure efficient operations for investors, the progress of the cargo airport construction, and the next steps to be taken,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the minister’s message on X. 

Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) with a strategic geographic location, adjacent to the Baku International Sea Trade Port and global transport corridors, will serve as a regional investment hub and will deliver an outstanding business environment for investors engaged in high value-added and export-oriented manufacturing and internationally traded services, using innovative technologies and approaches to work in accordance with best international standards.
