Azerbaijani energy minister visits Brazil for high-level meetings
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has paid a visit to Brazil at the invitation of the country's Minister of Mines and Energy Alexandre Silveira, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Energy.
Shahbazov and his delegation will attend the 15th Ministerial Meeting on Clean Energy (CEM-15) and the 9th Ministerial Meeting on Innovation Mission (Ml9) in Foz do Iguaçu on October 3, and on October 4 - the 4th Ministerial Meeting on G20 Energy Transition and the 4th High-Level Dialogue on Energy Transition chaired by International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Fatih Birol.
Ministerial speeches and bilateral meetings are scheduled during the visit.
The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) is a high-level global forum to promote policies and programmes that advance clean energy technology, to share lessons learned and best practices, and to encourage the transition to a global clean energy economy. Brazil was unanimously chosen to host, in 2024, the 15th Clean Energy Ministerial, CEM, and the 9th Ministerial Meeting on Mission Innovation (MI) – acknowledging the country’s clean energy matrix and leadership in the area.
