Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to attend international industry fair in Uzbekistan
A group of Azerbaijani business figures is set to take part in the upcoming international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia, scheduled to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on April 28-30.
The news was announced by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), Caliber.Az reports.
The exhibition will bring together government bodies, major industrial enterprises, business leaders and sectoral experts from Central Asia and the broader Eurasian region. Participants will represent a wide range of sectors, including mechanical engineering, information technology, metallurgy, infrastructure development, and energy solutions.
AZPROMO noted that Azerbaijani entrepreneurs interested in joining the event can register through the official INNOPROM. Central Asia platform.
Notably, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) was established to enhance non-oil exports and attract foreign investments into the non-oil sector by offering services to investors based on a "single window" principle. Its charter was approved by the President of Azerbaijan on July 23, 2021, formalising its role in driving economic diversification. Originally founded in 2003 by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy, AZPROMO has evolved from a foundation into a central agency focused on boosting Azerbaijan's global trade presence, particularly in non-oil sectors.
AZPROMO focuses on stimulating non-oil exports, attracting foreign investments, fostering cooperation between local and international businesses, and organising international events to promote Azerbaijani products abroad. The agency's strategic vision is to transform the non-oil sector into a leading driver of the national economy, increasing its share of GDP and promoting the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand globally.
By leveraging its extensive international network and state-backed initiatives, AZPROMO aims to foster a favourable business environment and attract investment, driving growth and entrepreneurship across the non-oil sector.
