Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz think tanks to cooperate in various areas
Think tanks from Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have reached an agreement to cooperate in various areas, fostering the development of bilateral relations.
The agreement was reached during the visit of Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Board of the Centre for Analysis of International Relations (Air Center), to Bishkek, Report informs.
Shafiyev met with the director of the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sanzhar Mukanbetov.
During the meeting, various aspects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed, and views on further development of relations were exchanged.
In addition, the sides touched upon such issues as the possible impact of the current geopolitical situation on both countries, the role of regional transport projects, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway projects in the development of transport links and, consequently, trade and economic ties between the two countries.
The organisations agreed to continue academic discussions in the future, prepare joint scientific publications and organise events.
