Azerbaijani minister announces investment volume for Aghdam, Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Parks
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has revealed that the newly established industrial parks, "Aghdam" and the "Araz Valley Economic Zone," will host a total of 46 enterprises.
During the discussion of the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" at a plenary session of the Milli Majlis, Jabbarov emphasized that the total investment in these projects is expected to reach $232 million, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
In addition to the financial investment, the projects are expected to create over 4,300 new jobs, significantly boosting the region's economic development.
The Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park, located in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district, covers an area of 200 hectares.
In the first half of 2024, nine projects with a total investment value of 68 million manats (approximately $40 million) in Aghdam Industrial Park, and 6 projects with a total investment value of 42.7 million manats (over $25.1 million) in Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park were approved.
