Azerbaijani SBS seizes over 21 kg of drugs on border with Iran PHOTO

The Azerbaijani State Border Service has seized over 21 kg of drugs on the state border with Iran.

As a result of operational measures taken on May 4 at 06:30, 2 packages with drugs weighing 15 kg 862 grams (14 kg 906 grams of marijuana, 676 grams of heroin, 280 grams of methamphetamine) and 1,500 tablets of M-40 Methadone were found in the service area of the State Border Service's border detachment "Geytepe", Caliber.Az reports per the service.

Furthermore, on May 5 at 20:30 one bag with 5 kg 720 grams of marijuana was found and seized on the official territory of the "Horadiz" border detachment.

Operational investigative measures are still underway in both cases.
