Azerbaijani, Tatar officials discuss economic cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov discussed economic cooperation with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko.
“During our meeting with Oleg Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, we exchanged views on priority areas of economic cooperation, discussing partnerships in trade, industry, entrepreneurship, innovation, and other sectors. We also explored prospects for joint initiatives and reviewed projects implemented in industrial parks,” Jabbarov wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.
Notably, Azerbaijan and Russia's Republic of Tatarstan have been actively enhancing their economic cooperation across various sectors.
In April 2024, the 4th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan was held in Baku. The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in trade, industry, energy, agriculture, tourism, and innovation. Both parties emphasized the potential for increased trade turnover and the importance of joint activities within industrial parks.
In May 2023, Azerbaijan's Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) and Tatarstan's industrial cluster signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This agreement aims to foster collaboration between entrepreneurs from both regions, support joint industrial projects, and facilitate business exchanges.
These initiatives reflect a mutual interest in deepening economic relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan.
