Azerbaijani tourists fuel record $4.7 billion tourism boom in Georgia
Azerbaijan has become one of the main contributors to Georgia’s tourism sector, according to the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Data released by the ministry show that 2025 was a record year for tourism revenues, which rose by 6% year-on-year to reach $4.69 billion, Caliber.Az reports via the Ministry.
Revenue from Azerbaijani visitors showed particularly strong growth, increasing by 32.5% compared with the previous year.
Overall, the tourism sector saw accelerated growth in the final quarter of 2025, with travel-related income up 9.2% to over $1.05 billion.
The ministry also highlighted rising contributions from other markets, including Israel, which accounted for a 12.5% increase, the European Union and the United Kingdom (14.1%), and Türkiye (12.9%).
