Azerbaijani, Turkish defense officials mull military cooperation

On August 12, Azerbaijani Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev met with a delegation led by the head of the Turkish Defense Industries Presidency, Haluk Gorgun, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.

Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the defense industry continues to progress positively, Caliber.Az reports via the ministry.

During the extended meeting, which included leaders from Tusaş, Asfat, Havelsan, Roketsan, Baykar, Makina ve Kimya Endüstri, Repkon Group, and Aselsan, it was affirmed that Azerbaijan and Türkiye are committed to further developing their bilateral cooperation in the defense industry, to establish even stronger ties in the future.

Vugar Mustafayev briefed the guests on the latest advancements in Azerbaijan's defense industry, outlining the achievements to date and sharing plans. The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss prospects for cooperation in the military-technical sphere and to exchange detailed views on various issues of mutual interest.
