Azerbaijani wines make splash in Italy
Opportunities of gastrotourism and enotourism (wine tourism) of Azerbaijan are presented at the Slow Wine fair in Bologna, Italy.
Slow Wine Fair, taking as a basis the characteristics of unique grape varieties of each winemaking region, promotes the preservation of traditions based on cultural and biological diversity, reduction of environmental impact, sustainable production and agro-ecological practices, Caliber.Az reports citing the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
The event brought together over 1,000 winemakers and representatives of wineries, and the number of guests at the fair exceeded 10,000. Azerbaijan was represented at the event by wine producers F.A. Valley and Meyvi Spirits.
Azerbaijan Ambassador to Italy Rashad Aslanov visited the national stand and viewed the displayed products.
Deputy CEO at Azerbaijan Tourism Board Rashad Aliyev addressed the panel discussion.
The event also featured a business meeting with head of Slow Wine network Ludovico Roccatello.
