Baku, Astana explore joint market data analysis cooperation
Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are in talks to enhance cooperation in the joint analysis of market data, including quotations and yield indicators, a senior official has revealed.
Oktay Gasimov, Deputy Head and Chief Commercial Director of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) said the initiative forms part of a broader collaboration framework between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“Data analysis is one of the areas included in our bilateral cooperation agenda,” Gasimov said. “While certain technical frameworks for collaboration already exist, we are not yet able to fully utilise them functionally.”
He explained that discussions are currently underway to clarify what specific data could be shared, such as market trends, yield indicators, and opening and closing prices.
“At this early stage, not all information can be exchanged with the other side due to the need for additional work on compatibility and usability,” he noted.
Gasimov also highlighted that there is “great potential” for cooperation with Kazakhstan in this area and confirmed that talks are ongoing to resolve a range of technical issues.
