Baku, Beijing eye broader partnership in green energy

Baku and Beijing have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the energy sector, including the participation of Chinese companies in green energy projects as Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Chinese Ambassador to the country Lu Mei.

In a post on his X account, Shahbazov said the sides exchanged views on opportunities for Chinese companies to participate in Azerbaijan’s domestic and international energy initiatives, Caliber.Az reports.

“At the meeting with Ms. Lu Mei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Azerbaijan, we discussed energy cooperation between two countries. We exchanged views on the participation of Chinese companies in Azerbaijan’s domestic and international initiatives, including projects in the field of greenenergy,” the post by Shahbazov reads.
