Baku hosts 28th annual meeting of BSTDB governors to map out future strategy
On July 1, Azerbaijan opened the 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) in Baku, bringing together officials to review the lender's performance and discuss its future direction.
The two-day meeting, chaired by Azerbaijan, will examine the Bank's activities, approve its 2025 financial statements and consider future priorities, including institutional development, organisers said, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The event also features a business forum titled "Connecting Markets, Diversifying Economies: Azerbaijan as a Regional Hub," which will focus on the country's economic development strategy, regional cooperation and the role of the BSTDB in supporting projects in Azerbaijan.
Participants are also expected to discuss trends and challenges in development finance, while the programme includes plenary sessions, presentations and business-to-business (B2B) meetings aimed at fostering investment and commercial partnerships.
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank is the regional development finance institution of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), providing financing for projects that promote economic growth and regional integration among its member states.
