Baku hosts economic forum to shape Azerbaijan’s fiscal future with digital innovation

Baku is hosting Azerbaijan Financial Forum, a key event organized by major associations, including the Azerbaijan Banks Association, the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, the Azerbaijan Fintech Association, and the Azerbaijan Capital Market Participants Association (AFBIA). 

The event aims to advance the country’s financial landscape and is expected to play a pivotal role in the sector’s future development, Caliber.Az reports.

The forum's central focus is on accelerating the digitalization of Azerbaijan’s financial sector by leveraging innovative technologies.

Key discussions are addressing the removal of existing barriers within the sector, as well as enhancing financial intermediation and inclusivity. Emphasis is also placed on improving legislation and regulation, building on the progress the Azerbaijani financial industry has made in recent years.

Experts at the forum are optimistic that these initiatives will foster greater economic growth and strengthen Azerbaijan's position as a financial hub in the region.
