Baku hosts first China Visitors Summit to boost tourism links with Beijing PHOTO
Azerbaijan is looking to deepen its tourism cooperation with China as Baku hosts the China Visitors Summit for the first time on November 17.
The event, organised by Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency, brings together more than 50 Chinese travel companies alongside representatives of the local tourism industry, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Officials say China remains one of Azerbaijan’s priority markets as the country aims to attract a larger share of long-haul visitors.
The summit is regarded as a key platform for boosting tourist flows from China, particularly as both countries seek to expand economic and cultural engagement.
Azerbaijani and Chinese officials addressed the gathering, outlining opportunities for new partnerships and discussing ways to strengthen bilateral tourism links.
