07 October 2025 17:40

Two key documents were signed in Baku as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan Halal Business Forum (AZHAB).

KOBIA, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy, and Türkiye’s Bilişim Vadisi signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Caliber.Az reports via local media

The Technology Valley expressed its support for the Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition, which provides for awareness-raising events and joint initiatives in areas such as “green economy,” “green technologies,” and “green entrepreneurship,” as well as cooperation on environmental protection.  The memorandum was signed by KOBIA Chairman Orkhan Mammadov and Bilişim Vadisi General Manager Erkam Tüzgen.

The Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition for the “green transition” of SMEs was launched by KOBIA ahead of COP29, aiming to build a global “green” SME movement and facilitate environmental transition for enterprises in different countries. Over 20 international organizations and national institutions have already joined the declaration.

The second document was signed between KOBIA and Malaysia’s Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) under the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by O. Mammadov and HDC CEO Hairol Arifein Sahari.

It provides for cooperation in areas such as knowledge and experience exchange in business, investment, export, and the halal industry, as well as implementation of joint training programs, leveraging the capacities of both institutions.
