Baku, Islamabad agree to launch joint ICT working group
Azerbaijan and Pakistan have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of information and communications technology (ICT) by establishing a joint working group, following a high-level meeting between senior officials from both nations.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, met with Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, as part of her official visit to Baku, Caliber.Az reports.
Reporting on the meeting via Facebook, Nabiyev stated, “We discussed the innovations being implemented in our country in the field of innovation and digital development. We reached an agreement to establish a working group to expand the regulatory framework in the ICT sector and to carry out joint projects in this field.”
The establishment of this working group is expected to enhance bilateral collaboration, foster innovation, and promote the development of joint ICT initiatives, reflecting both countries’ commitment to advancing technological ties and digital transformation.
