Baku, Kampala eye expanded cooperation in agriculture
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Ilhama Gadimova, met with a delegation led by Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, John Mulimba, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, Gadimova emphasised Azerbaijan’s interest in strengthening partnerships with other countries across agriculture and related sectors, the Ministry of Agriculture reported, as cited by Caliber.Az.
“The meeting focused on opportunities for collaboration between Azerbaijan and Uganda in agriculture, including sharing information on products with high export potential, boosting trade in agricultural and food products, fostering connections between entrepreneurs, and addressing other related issues,” the report stated.
Minister Mulimba highlighted Uganda’s interest in developing partnerships across multiple areas, noting significant potential for expanding cooperation in agriculture. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to deepening collaboration in the sector.
The discussions also featured a wide-ranging exchange of views on topics of mutual interest, signaling a strong foundation for future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uganda.
