Baku, London discuss strengthening digital technology cooperation
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Transport, Communications, and High Technologies, Rashad Nabiyev, met with UK Minister of State for Trade Policy Chris Bryant to discuss enhancing collaboration in digital technologies.
Nabiyev wrote on Facebook that the meeting focused on enhancing the current strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, Caliber.Az reports.
“During the meeting, we discussed further strengthening the existing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, as well as opportunities for cooperation in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital technologies,” the statement said.
Nabiyev also noted that Azerbaijan has invited British investors to participate in establishing data centres for artificial intelligence in the country. The ministers exchanged views on potential UK investments, engineering, and financial support for major infrastructure projects in metro, rail, maritime, and air transport, as well as telecommunications.
