Baku, Prague explore fresh avenues for economic cooperation PHOTO

Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic have discussed ways to expand economic cooperation, with a focus on energy, transport, pharmaceuticals and technology transfer.

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov held talks with Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Marie Chatardová, who is on a visit to Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy.

“The meeting highlighted significant potential for cooperation in energy, transport, pharmaceuticals, technology transfer and other areas. The current state of economic relations and opportunities for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Czechia were discussed,” the ministry said.

The officials also exchanged views on preparations for the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Czechia Joint Commission.

The discussions covered measures to promote mutual investment, strengthen ties between the two countries’ business communities and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
