Baku prepares for high-level Azerbaijan–Latvia business gathering
Azerbaijan is preparing to host an upcoming business forum with Latvia aimed at expanding economic cooperation, attracting foreign investment, and exploring new areas of partnership between the two countries, including technology, defence, and logistics.
The remarks were made by Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), Yusif Abdullayev, at the 9th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Latvia Intergovernmental Commission held in Shusha, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Abdullayev confirmed that the Azerbaijan–Latvia business forum will take place in Azerbaijan in the coming days.
“About 20 Latvian companies and more than 50 public and private organizations from Azerbaijan are expected to participate in the event. The sides are considering new areas of business cooperation, such as artificial intelligence, the defence industry, and air cargo transportation. We are also planning presentations on the participation of Latvian companies in reconstruction and rehabilitation work in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation,” he said.
