Baku promotes investment climate to Turkish companies in Istanbul
A meeting titled “Investment Opportunities for Azerbaijan” was held in Istanbul, bringing together Azerbaijani and Turkish officials and business leaders to discuss expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan’s Trade Representation, and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, according to the Economic Zones Development Agency, Caliber.Az reports.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli and Trade Representative Tamerlan Taghiyev held talks with Şekib Avdagiç, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, along with members of the chamber’s management board.
According to the official statement, the parties exchanged views on expanding economic and trade ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, explored mutual investment opportunities and promising areas of cooperation, and discussed prospects for implementing joint projects.
Participants were provided with detailed information on Azerbaijan’s investment climate, priority sectors, and existing incentive mechanisms.
The event continued with a panel discussion titled “Investment Opportunities for Turkish Companies in Azerbaijan,” during which representatives of relevant government agencies outlined available investment incentives, state support mechanisms, and key aspects of the country’s business and legal environment.
