Baku, Tehran collaborate on new railroad project Linking East Zangezur to Nakhchivan/PHOTO

Azerbaijan and Iran have engaged in discussions regarding the construction of a new railroad line connecting East Zangezur to Nakhchivan.
Rovshan Rustamov, the chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), announced the developments via a post on his X account, Caliber.Az reports.
“During his official visit to Iran, ADY Chairman Rovshan Rustamov discussed with his Iranian counterpart Jabbar Ali Zakeri Sardroudi, the construction of a railway line that will connect the East Zangezur & Nakhchivan regions via Iran’s territory,” the post says.
The sides also discussed enhancing cooperation on the North-South corridor and outlined the measures ADY has implemented to develop both routes, as well as plans.
