Baku to host 28th BSTDB board of governors meeting
The 28th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) will take place in Baku on July 1–2, with Azerbaijan serving as chair of the event.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance, participants will review the bank’s performance, approve its 2025 financial statements, and discuss future priorities, institutional development and regional investment opportunities, Caliber.Az reports.
A business forum titled “Connecting Markets, Diversifying Economies: Azerbaijan as a Regional Hub” will also be held as part of the programme. The forum will focus on Azerbaijan’s economic development agenda, regional cooperation, BSTDB-supported projects, and current trends in development finance.
The event will bring together representatives of governments, financial institutions and the private sector for discussions on regional connectivity, diversified financing mechanisms and Azerbaijan’s role as a transportation and economic link between Europe and Asia.
The programme includes presentations, panel discussions, business meetings and B2B sessions aimed at strengthening cooperation between companies and financial organisations.
The BSTDB is a multilateral development bank established by 11 member states of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, the bank finances public and private sector projects through loans, credit lines, guarantees and investments, supporting trade and economic cooperation across the region.
