Baku to host international conference on financial security
An international scientific and practical conference on financial security is set to take place in Baku from 23 to 24 May, as part of Azerbaijan's "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" initiative.
The event, organised jointly with the Financial Monitoring Service, will focus on “The Role, Duties, and Responsibilities of Supervisory Authorities in Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism”, according to the Azerbaijani Chamber of Accounts, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
According to the Azerbaijani Chamber of Accounts, participants will include representatives of relevant Azerbaijani institutions, as well as heads of audit and accounting bodies from Israel, Pakistan, and Latvia.
Experts specialising in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) will also be in attendance.
The second day of the conference will feature a dedicated session for the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of AML/CTF among delegates.
