Baku, Washington explore strategic cooperation on Zangezur Corridor launch PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has met with Brendan Hanrahan, the Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, to discuss avenues for deepening bilateral cooperation and the launch of the Zangezur Corridor.
Central to their discussions was the enhancement of the Middle Corridor’s capacity and advancing the launch of the strategically significant Zangezur Corridor—an initiative poised to transform regional connectivity and facilitate trade routes linking Azerbaijan, Armenia, and neighboring regions, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
In addition to transport and transit matters, the meeting encompassed a comprehensive exchange of perspectives on the implementation of agreements signed during the landmark Washington summit on August 8. Both parties expressed optimism regarding the expansion of cooperation in cutting-edge sectors such as artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and cybersecurity, underscoring the broad scope of Azerbaijan-US collaboration beyond traditional domains.
The dialogue reaffirmed mutual commitment to leveraging technological innovation and infrastructural development to boost regional integration, strengthen economic ties, and enhance security frameworks.
