Baku, Washington focus on TRIPP, trade initiatives
First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Elnur Aliyev, held a meeting with Carl B. Kress, Regional Director for the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Eurasia of the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), to discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation.
The discussion underscored Baku’s commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations with Washington, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The two sides highlighted significant potential for collaboration across multiple sectors, including economy and trade, energy, investment, transport and transit, industry, and other strategic areas.
During the meeting, Aliyev and Kress exchanged views on potential joint projects that could be pursued under the USTDA framework. They also explored ways to expand the Azerbaijan-US economic and trade partnership and discussed the prospects of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative, along with other opportunities of mutual interest.
The officials concluded the meeting with a constructive exchange of ideas on implementing joint initiatives, signaling a continued commitment to strengthening economic ties between Azerbaijan and the United States.
