Baku, Washington talk over imminent launch of Trump Route
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, has held talks with senior officials from the US Department of Commerce during a visit to Washington.
According to Caliber.Az, Nabiyev met with Deputy Secretaries William Kimmitt and Jeffrey Kessler. In a post on his official Facebook page, he said the discussions focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and highlighted Azerbaijan’s favourable investment climate.
“We discussed prospects for collaboration between the two countries, emphasising a positive environment for investment in Azerbaijan. We also exchanged views on the development of the Middle Corridor and Zangezur Corridor, as well as the imminent launch of the TRIPP project (‘Trump Route’),” Nabiyev wrote.
The talks also covered potential cooperation in digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
The US officials expressed willingness to support efforts to resolve existing challenges in exporting US-made digital products to Azerbaijan.
