Banker: Türkiye eager to pursue joint investment projects with Azerbaijan
Türkiye is looking to expand its investment cooperation with Azerbaijan, Ata Köseoğlu, Chairman of Rothschild & Co in Türkiye, told a panel at the 13th Global Baku Forum.
Köseoğlu added that Türkiye’s geopolitical position is critical amid regional instability and that it plays an active role in major infrastructure projects, including the Middle and Zangezur corridors, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Türkiye is ambitiously aiming to further intensify joint investment activities with Azerbaijan,” Köseoğlu said.
According to Köseoğlu, economic ties between the two countries have already reached a significant scale: “For example, as of the end of the year, Azerbaijan’s investments in Türkiye amounted to approximately $21 billion. Azerbaijan recently announced plans to invest an additional $7 billion in Türkiye’s economy,” he noted.
Köseoğlu also stated that a significant portion of the contracts related to projects within the Zangezur Corridor are being carried out by Turkish companies.
