On March 13, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defence Industry, Vagif Mustafaev, met with Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar, presenting him with a special licence to begin operations for Bayraktar Teknoloji Azerbaijan.

The meeting focused on expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Baykar to further develop the country's defence industry, Caliber.Az reports per Ministry of Defence Industry.

Notably, Baykar Teknoloji, often referred to simply as Baykar, is a Turkish aerospace company that designs and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones. It is best known for developing the Bayraktar TB2, a highly effective and widely used tactical drone.
