Belarus-Azerbaijan trade strengthens food security Deputy PM says
The intensifying mutual trade between Belarus and Azerbaijan is playing a crucial role in bolstering the food security of both nations. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko said at the opening of the Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition Caspian Agro and 29th Azerbaijan International Food Industry InterFood Azerbaijan Exhibition in Baku.
Belarus annually takes the most active part in the Caspian Agro and Inter Food exhibitions," Petrishenko stated, Caliber.Az reports citing BELTA.
He noted that Belarusian companies are showcasing a diverse array of products, including meat, dairy, confectionery, fish, alcoholic beverages, fertilizers, chemicals for plant treatment, veterinary drugs, agricultural machinery, and tire products.
Petrishenko emphasized that the robust trade relationship between Belarus and Azerbaijan, particularly in food products, is a significant contributor to the food security of both countries. Belarus consistently supplies Azerbaijan with large quantities and a wide range of products, which also serve as raw materials for Azerbaijan's food processing industry.
