Belarus gearing up for war, President Lukashenko says
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that his country is preparing for war, but Minsk does not seek to fight with anyone.
He said this during his working trip to Hrodna, BelTA informs.
Lukashenko emphasised that Belarus wants to build its peaceful future and is set only on creation.
"Don't believe anyone that we want to go to war. We are preparing for war, I am speaking frankly about it. 'If you want peace, prepare for war' - I didn't come up with that. It's very rightly said," said President Lukashenko.
According to him, the country is making appropriate preparations, but Minsk is not threatening anyone.
"We don't want someone else's land. God grant us to cultivate this one," said Lukashenko.
Before that, he said Belarus and Russia should not relax over the concentration of NATO troops on the Belarusian border.
"We should not relax. We are sure that if we calm down somewhere, they will attack us. This is absolutely certain," stressed the Belarusian leader.
