bp announces leadership change in Azerbaijan operations
British energy company bp has announced the appointment of a new regional vice president of finance for its Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye (AGT) operations.
According to information released by the company to Caliber.Az, Nadir Imanov, currently serving as bp’s vice president of finance for the Middle East and North Africa, will assume the new position starting April 1, 2026.
In his new role, Imanov will oversee financial management across bp’s AGT regional operations, covering Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye. He will report directly to the company’s senior vice president of finance for production and operations, based in London.
Imanov will replace Colin Allan, the current vice president of finance for the AGT region, who is scheduled to return to the United Kingdom on April 1.
The company noted that with this appointment, Imanov becomes the seventh national vice president within bp’s regional business leadership team. He brings more than 30 years of experience in planning and commercial operations, most of which has been gained during his career at bp, including leadership roles in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Egypt, and Oman, where he managed major teams and business operations.
