BSTDB’s Azerbaijan portfolio surpasses €442 million in signed projects
As of August 31, 2026, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) had signed agreements covering 47 projects in Azerbaijan with a combined value of 442.035 million euros.
The bank had disbursed 697.58 million euros through 42 operations, while its Board of Directors had approved 45 operations in Azerbaijan worth a total of 444.488 million euros by the end of August, Caliber.Az reports, citing the bank
Based on the BSTDB’s reports, financial sector projects represent the largest portion of its signed portfolio in Azerbaijan, accounting for 50.29%. Energy projects make up 35.23%, followed by real estate at 6.92%. Consumer staples account for 3.91% of the portfolio, while consumer discretionary projects represent 3.65%.
Among the BSTDB’s major projects in Azerbaijan is $75 million in financing for the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), along with 25 million manats in credit lines extended to Bank Respublika. The bank has also supported Azerbaijan’s financial sector through financing for Unibank and Azer Turk Bank, which received $7 million and $5 million, respectively.
