BTC pipeline records decline in April oil exports year-on-year

In April 2026, average daily oil exports via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline stood at 541,000 barrels, marking a decline compared to the same period last year, according to local media.
OPEC’s monthly report shows that BTC oil transportation in April declined by 8% compared with March, equivalent to a drop of 47,000 barrels per day.
During the reporting period, flows through the BTC pipeline were 11% lower than in April 2025, or 64,000 barrels per day less.
The BTC pipeline was commissioned on July 13, 2006 and stretches 1,768 kilometres, including 443 km in Azerbaijan, 249 km in Georgia, and 1,076 km in Türkiye.
