Bus carrying children’s football team overturns in Russia; no fatalities reported
A bus transporting a children’s football team overturned on a highway in Russia’s Chelyabinsk Region.
Authorities have confirmed that there were no fatalities, although six children are being assessed for injuries, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
According to the regional traffic police, the accident occurred at the 181-kilometre mark of the Yuzhnouralsk–Magnitogorsk road in the Agapovsky District. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver lost control of the Yutong bus, which subsequently left the road and overturned.
The bus was carrying 37 passengers, including the children, who were travelling from Magnitogorsk to Chelyabinsk for a sporting event. Six children received medical attention at the scene, and their conditions are currently being monitored.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
