Business expert: Türkiye invests over $15 billion in Azerbaijani economy

Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry Orkhan Mammadov has said that Türkiye invested $15.2 billion in the Azerbaijani economy so far.

Mammadov made these remarks at public hearings on “Cooperation with unions of Turkish businessmen” in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that $11.7 billion out of $15.2 billion accounted for the oil and gas sector, while $3.5 billion - for the non-oil and gas sector.

“So far, about 5,670 commercial organisations with Turkish capital have been registered in Azerbaijan. More than 4,000 of these organisations actively operate. In particular, the Turkish companies’ role in the restoration of the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation is undeniable,” Mammadov added.
