Cargo transit volume from Asia to Switzerland up in Baku International Sea Trade Port

More than 551,740 tons of cargo were transported through the Baku port from Asia to Switzerland in 2023, which is 3.8 times more than in 2022.

This statement was made at a meeting between Swiss Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan Thomas Stahli and Director General of the Baku International Sea Trade Port Taleh Ziyadov, Report informs citing the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

The cooperation spheres, including interaction within the Swiss Cooperation Programme for 2022-2025, were discussed.

The ambassador was informed about the strategic role of the Baku International Sea Trade Port in the Middle Corridor for sustainable regional connectivity.

The sustainability of operations and environmentally friendly solutions in port activity are priorities for the Baku International Sea Trade Port.
