CBAR deputy highlights AI role in finance during Tashkent forum
Delegates from Azerbaijan's banking industry embarked on a trip to Tashkent to participate in the “Monetary Policy Dialogue – 2026” forum, organized by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
Amongst them was the First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan's Central Bank (CBAR), Aliyar Mammadov, as Caliber.Az reports citing the bank's media team.
A press briefing released by CBAR informed that the forum was focused on the topic “Monetary Policy in Conditions of Global Instability and the Wave of Digitalization.”
According to information released by the bank, discussions within the framework of the event centered on the digital transformation of the financial sector, as well as the prospects for applying artificial intelligence and machine learning in areas such as macroeconomic analysis, inflation forecasting, banking supervision, and the development of payment infrastructure.
Participants also emphasized the importance of ensuring that the adoption of new technologies is accompanied by strong operational resilience, cybersecurity, and effective risk management frameworks.
