Chinese entrepreneurs plan to establish AI, medical centres in Azerbaijan
Chinese entrepreneurs are planning to build several advanced facilities in Azerbaijan, including a Medical Technology Trade Centre, an Artificial Intelligence Centre, an Innovation and Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre, as well as a Longevity, Biotechnology, Anti-Ageing and Innovative Education Centre.
The announcement was made by Jia Xiao Fang, President of China International Health and Medical Tourism Association (CIHMTA), during the 2nd Azerbaijan Health Tourism Conference, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“Traditional Chinese medicine has a 5,000-year history, yet there is still no professional medical centre dedicated to this field either in Azerbaijan or across the Caucasus region,” Jia said.
“This demonstrates significant investment potential in healthcare, prevention, immunity enhancement, treatment and rehabilitation, and creates a unique opportunity for Azerbaijan’s medical tourism market.”
The 2nd Azerbaijan Health Tourism Conference, organised by the State Tourism Agency, is taking place in Baku.
The event seeks to unite experts and service providers working in the health tourism sector, fostering stronger cooperation, building effective partnerships, and identifying new opportunities in health and medical tourism across Azerbaijan.
The programme includes panel discussions on “Wellbeing” and “Medical Tourism”, alongside an exhibition showcasing leading companies active in the field.
