Chinese firm Donfang Electronics eyes green energy projects in Karabakh

Shudong Cao, Deputy General Director of the Chinese company Donfang Electronics Corporation (DEC), has expressed readiness to implement green energy initiatives and SCADA power management systems in the Karabakh region.

Cao emphasized that the company has significant experience in both energy management and the development of renewable energy technologies, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

"Our company has extensive experience in the development and implementation of SCADA systems and green energy," Cao said. "At present, Donfang Electronics Corporation operates in over 50 countries worldwide. We place great importance on cooperation with Azerbaijan due to the tremendous potential we see. We are prepared to create a national SCADA system and introduce green energy concepts in the ecological sphere in Azerbaijan, particularly in Karabakh."

Cao, who recently visited the region, expressed his distress upon witnessing the destruction in the territories liberated from occupation.

"However, we also witnessed the rapid recovery of these lands. The latest technologies are being implemented. It is important to highlight the role of the President of Azerbaijan and the people of Azerbaijan as a whole in this process," he noted.

Speaking about the use of cutting-edge digital technologies at the Fuzuli substation, Cao commended the efforts being made to rebuild the energy infrastructure in the liberated areas.

"Our experts highly appreciate the work being carried out in the energy infrastructure of these lands. We have already begun cooperation with the company Azerishiq. This partnership is not only between DEC and Azerishiq, but also between the two countries. We want to offer the most advanced technologies," concluded the Deputy General Director.

To recall, a delegation from Dongfang Electronics recently visited key locations in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, including Fuzuli, Hadrut, and Shusha, to familiarize themselves with the reconstruction efforts undertaken by Azerishiq, a state-owned electricity distribution company.

The purpose of the visit was to gain insight into the rapid progress of the energy infrastructure rebuilding process, supported by the Azerbaijani government.
