The tunnels on the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway are being built in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from Armenian occupation in 2020.
“This highway is important because it forms part of the Zengezur corridor,” Spokesman for the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, Anar Najafli, said.
The highway will consist of 4 and 6 lanes and will run along the big residential settlements, including the famous Topkhana forest.
The first 48 kilometers of the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, which measures 81.6 kilometers in length, will consist of six lanes, the rest part will stretch on four lanes.
The width of the highway will be 29.5 meters and 21.5 meters, respectively.
