Council chairman: Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia seek closer economic ties
Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia are planning to enter a new stage of trilateral cooperation, with a focus on more ambitious joint projects, according to Selçuk Akat, Chairman of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Business Council.
Speaking at the 7th Azerbaijan–Georgia–Türkiye Business Forum in Georgia’s Kakheti region, Akat highlighted Georgia’s longstanding role as a key partner in economic and trade relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He emphasised that the current stage of regional development calls for new projects and cooperation formats, making this year’s forum particularly significant.
Akat also noted that ongoing peace processes in the South Caucasus are opening new economic opportunities, underscoring the need for deeper trilateral collaboration.
He identified logistics and renewable energy as priority areas for this new phase, while pointing out that large-scale reconstruction efforts in Karabakh are generating additional investment opportunities for the region.
